Freehand artistic works that explore portraiture and the human figure through the purity of graphite, charcoal, and pastels.
The blank page is a space for immediate creativity. Through direct tools such as graphite, charcoal, pastels, and inks, the gesture of the hand gives life to new concepts, forms, and ideas. To make a mark, define it, blend it: every touch is an expression that takes form, an intimate dialogue between the idea and the material.
My exploration in drawing constantly moves between two seemingly opposite poles.
On one hand, I love the meticulous definition of detail, where a patient and meticulous stroke builds the beauty of the work in its entirety. On the other hand, I find fascinating the search for the essential mark—that powerful synthesis capable of revealing, with just a few elements, the profound spirit of a subject.
This balance between detail and synthesis is the heart of my works on paper, from portraits to artistic studies of nature.
